GFC dumbbell development story

GFC dumbbells are dumbbells made with an original size and design for Japanese people after thorough research into the plate-loading type variable weight dumbbells that are popular overseas.

It took more than a year and a lot of money to finally commercialize the product, which involved testing and researching overseas products, communicating with factory personnel many times, and confirming the size and manufacturing method.
We were able to manufacture not only handles and screws, but also plates and special stands with optimal shapes.

In Japan, there are many dumbbells in circulation that have a plate attached to a long shaft and fixed with a lock.
Or use fixed dumbbells or adjustable dumbbells.

Fixed dumbbells are expensive and take up a lot of space if you have a set of them that can hold a certain amount of weight.
Adjustable dumbbells are easy to use up to around 30kg, but anything over that weight is difficult to handle, and there is a greater risk of damage when falling.

Dumbbells with separate handles and screws, which are not widely available in Japan, are very popular overseas.

Among these products, the product whose basic structure was benchmarked is the Pepin dumbbell.
In fact, the quality of Pepin dumbbells is so excellent that we were initially considering selling them through a distributor in Japan, and were actually negotiating.
However, considering the shipping costs from Canada, the price becomes difficult to afford.
As we continued to use the dumbbells, we realized that we wanted to modify the size to suit Japanese people, so we decided to produce dumbbells with the size and design that we originally designed.
